Regional Route Manager

We have a Regional Route Manager position open in Erie, MI.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Works closely with the Regional Operations Manager in identifying the priority needs Divisions. Inspects, verifies, and evaluates Divisions on their compliance with the Route Editor, Route Audit, and other identified Excellence Driven standards. Provides process direction, training, guidance and motivational leadership to those affected in order to bring about sustainable behavioral change. Leads and motivates Division Route Auditors to meet established goals and ensure effective closure of outstanding route improvement issues identified during audits. Completes weekly update reports on activity and reconciliation to the pre-determined goals and/or expectations of the week as they relate to the implementation of standards. Responds to changes in priority Divisions and/or topics as required due to business shifts. Assist divisions in routing.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Required Qualifications: Minimum five years related operations experience in transportation, waste or logistics environment. A year for year equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. MS Office including Word and Excel. Strong understanding of operations and maintenance functions. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to develop and maintain credibility with field personnel. Effective interpersonal communication skills across various levels of the organization. Strong motivational, coaching, and leadership skills. Ability to effectively respond to rapid change. Requires travel by air and/or car throughout the assigned region up to 60% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Management experience in transportation, waste or logistics strongly preferred. Company information system applications including InfoPro, RMS/CMS.
