Operations Supervisor

Job Summary:

Assist Operations Manager in safely executing Branch Operation Plan.  Provide leadership which results in positive employee/employer relations, a professional corporate image, effective asset and resource management, a sound safety program, high productivity standards and profitable operations.

 

Essential Functions:

Personnel

§  Ensure fair treatment of all personnel.

§  Establish and maintain high appearance standards throughout all operations.

§  Review each employee's job performance evaluation and approve any changes to an employee's compensation.

§  Adhere to all wage and hour guidelines.

§  Execute an effective program that screens, reflects, hires and trains personnel required to support service commitments.

Operations

§  Establish priorities to meet customer service commitments.

§  Assist the Operations Manager in direct collection and disposal services to best utilize personnel and equipment.

§  Establish and review productivity standards at each phase of the operation.

§  Protect and preserve all assets.

§  Promote an effective safety program that seeks to prevent accidents, avoid injuries and recognize safe employees.

§  Direct assigned Product Lines to achieve acceptable return on invested capital.

§  Assist in development and execution of an operation profit plan that includes:

a. Sources of income

b. Cost of operations

c. Growth objectives

d. Productivity standards

e. Profit margins desired (ROA, ROTSR, EBITDA)

f.  Capital requirements

g. Personnel needed

h. Product or service profit margin desired

 

Education, Training, Experience and Licensing/Certification Requirements:

· BA or BS Degree desired or equivalent experience.

· Experience in waste industry desired.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Good leadership and communication skills.
