Animal Health Technicians (Level I and II)

Due to growth, we are seeking Animal Health Technicians (Level I and II) for our LaMarque, TX clinic. These positions involve on average 40hours /week and will be from 7:30a to 6:00p 4 days a week (Wed, Thurs, Fri, and Sat). Some overtime will be required. Candidates must also be available to work other days including Sunday on occasion.

Vet Tech I -
Candidates in this role will have an opportunity to provide support to Staff Veterinarians as well as provide the highest quality of medical care possible. Candidates will work under veterinary supervision and will serve our animal patients in a humane and professional manner.

Responsibilities -

· Assist daily with admitting and discharging patients

· Completing all medical records

· Under direction of and supervision by veterinarian, performing initial examination of all surgical candidates and record findings and body weight

· Under the direction of the veterinarian, assisting with a variety of medical procedures

· Maintaining a clean, neat and orderly work area

· Cleaning and organizing equipment and supplies

· Training and supervising clinic volunteers

· Entering client and medical data into medical records software system

· Participating in special events and performing other duties as required

 

Qualifications -

· High school diploma or equivalent

· 1-2 years veterinary clinic experience

· Passion for animals and helping them

 

Vet Tech II -
Candidates in this role will have an opportunity to provide backup support to Staff Veterinarians as well as provide the highest quality of medical care possible. Candidates will assist with surgeries and will serve our animal patients in a humane and professional manner.

 

Qualifications -

· 5 years veterinary clinic experience

· Passion for animals and helping them
