Not Your Typical Truck Driver Job

Come Join GE as a Truck Driver II and be home on weekends and weekday nights. Besides having one of the best benefit packages, GE Modular Space's Truck Drivers have a flexible work schedule that allows them to be home with the normal 9 to 5 workers.


1. Drive truck pulling modular units to customer sites
2. Set up and teardown modular units at customer sites (i.e. positioning, blocking, leveling, and anchoring of units)
3. Complete daily truck and modular inspection and reports in accordance with DOT regulation and GE procedures
4. Complete daily DOT Hours of Service Logs
5. Load supplies such as blocks, steps, and furniture
6. Perform needed repairs (i.e. carpentry, painting, electrical, and plumbing)
7. Maintain contact (radio or cell phone) with Operations Manager to receive delivery or pickup instructions
8. Enter job scope and time into computer and complete inspection and repair paperwork
9. Communicate with customers
10. Perform other duties as assigned



Qualifications/Requirements:
1. Has a minimum of 1 year of truck driving experience
2. Has knowledge of carpentry, painting, electrical systems, and plumbing
3. Hold a valid CDL A License
4. Pass DOT physical or valid exemption set by DOT regulations
5. Familiar with FMCSR
6. Meet age requirement as set by local, state, and federal
7. Focused on customer service
8. Has basic reading and writing skills
9. Has basic computer skills and can learn new systems
10. Prioritize tasks and manage time to meet deadlines
11. Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
12. Perform job responsibilities without supervision
13. Show up for work as scheduled and on time
14. Work with others in a professional manner
15. Work in accordance with established safety procedures
16. Work overtime as needed
