Senior Technical Designer
Job Purpose:
Constructs Marker pattern by developing layout; forming materials. Senior Technical Designer for Research and Development Department.
Duties:
5 YEARS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
§ Gerber / Accurate experience
§ Flat Pattern making in the Garment design industry
§ Develop specs packages, throughout the Illustrator & Excel system.
§ Be capable of measuring and custom designing garment and other complex fitting soft goods.
§ Ensure workmanship & construction
§ Develop specs packages, throughout the PDM System.
§ Work closely with Designers and customers.
§ Provide all Technical Support to all our sourcing offices.
§ Review & evaluate sample packages, including: construction standards, workmanship, measurements, pattern & grading.
§ Train production staff and machine operators on process & procedures.
§ Evaluate garment fit & construction standards to ensure consistency.
§ Communicate, verbally and in writing
§ Be able to correct or solve any technical problems.
§ Travel to Factories to perform live training & evaluation of their technical areas (sample Room, Pattern room, grading room, marker room)
§ Provide active recommendations to solve or anticipate any production or technical issues
§ Review & Approve Trace patterns & graded nest.
§ Review & approved packages.
§ Measure & evaluate garment fit, workmanship & construction.
§ Review & evaluate sample packages, including: construction standards, workmanship, measurements, pattern & grading
§ Create Bills of materials
§ Train Vendors in process & procedures.
§ Evaluate garment fit & construction standards to ensure consistency.
§ Communicate, verbaly or in writing, in how to correct or solve any technical problems.
§ Create, sample comment form.
§ Provide active recommendations to solve or anticipate any production or technical issues.
§ Organize & Supervise Technical Services workflow.
§ Review & Approve Trace patterns & graded nest, throughout or modern Gerber PDS2000 system.
Manage the communication throughout factories regarding rejected fit samples
Windows 2000 professional, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point, Microsoft Outlook
