Description: Telecom Electrician JOB SUMMARY Provide installation and maintenance services for IT PC/communication devices and related IT systems according to service levels, operational processes and work agreements. Responsible for accurate inventory and billings at customer sites.

Responsible for excellent customer relations at site ownership locations. Must be accountable for the following IT processes in a disciplined manner to ensure accurate billings to customers. Ensure accurate update of knowledge base by providing timely information on trouble resolution processes/procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education Requirements

A current FCC license is required for this position. Also passing the Telecomm Electrician CK&S test is required as a part of the interviewing process.

A two year associate's degree in Electronics Technology is preferred, equivalent combination of education and responsible work experience is acceptable.

Experience Requirements

Experience with personal computers, diagnostics, and troubleshooting is required. A working knowledge of computer operating systems, network topologies, protocols, and peripheral devices is required in this position. Experience with PBX support, telephone systems, T1 data circuits is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

The ability to troubleshoot/repair hardware and software associated with IT products and services.

A working knowledge of data transport fundamentals and equipment is a plus...

Knowledge of digital microwave systems is preferred.

Also a working knowledge of 800 MHz radiotelephone is a plus.
