Graphics Designer/CAD Drafter

Duties and Responsibilities:

Faceplate and label graphics.  Create and maintain graphics files using Macromedia Freehand software.  Create custom logos for new product lines, understand the use of fonts as applied to different product lines and OEM products, understand and generate barcodes for UPC, CLEI codes, serial numbers or OEM specific labels.  Must work with compliance and the regulatory agencies to place proper markings on the products.  Examples of this are UL, FCC, Industry Candada, and CE markings.  Creation of labels includes working with manufacturer on standard cutting die sizes and material selection. 

 

CAD Drafting and ECO coordination:  Create and update CAD drawings in Solid Edge as well as coordinating all drawing changes from Engineering Change Orders. 

 

Requirements:

The creation of silkscreen or tampo film files requires familiarity with the manufacturing process in preparing the emulsion side and the scale of the artwork.  Macromedia Freehand, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe fonts.  Familiarity with Solid Edge and Microstation CAD systems is a plus. 

 

Desired Education:  Associates degree preferred.
