Supply Chain Strategic Initiatives Project Manager
Job Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Management or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Seven or more years of experience as a large program or project manager with recent experience leading multiple programs or projects or a single major project to address process and strategic issues. Demonstrated experience developing and executing project plans, meeting deadlines and operating under tight time and budget constraints; demonstrated ability to organize, motivate and lead cross-functional teams to successful outcomes; strong interpersonal skills and communication skills for building relationships and interacting with all levels of internal and external organizations; demonstrated ability to identify conflicting business needs and develop effective resolutions; ability to ensure strategic and business goals are met. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively to produce enhanced business performance. Must have strong project management skills, high level energy and strong advocacy and negotiation skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Solid understanding of Microsoft Office e.g., Word, Excel, Visio, MS Project and PowerPoint.
Preferences:
Knowledge of World Class Supply Chain Management practices. Project Management Certification.
Typical Responsibilities:
This position will have responsibility for project managing various Supply Chain processes/initiatives having major financial and/or operational impact to the company, such as (but not limited to) Integrated Spend Management(ISM), Advanced Metering Initiative (AMI) and/or Energy Efficiency or Demand Side Management (DSM) programs. Through cross-functional development teams, this position will drive project objectives through completion, preparing and presenting total cost perspectives, defining and implementing performance measurements monitoring project success, and implementing innovative operational process or organizational changes to meet project objectives. Will provide feedback on new or updated business processes and protocols; communicate and educate about the use of tracking tools required to monitor, measure, and take corrective action for project deviations from established schedules and procedures. Will develop business plans, objectives, and initiatives for the organization. Will identify and manage resolution of unusually complex issues, requiring innovative solutions. Will identify and execute project tasks on time and budget, monitor project plans and deliverables, report progress regularly and initiate corrective action as required. Will identify, track, and find solutions to project issues and project risks; coordinate with the integration and program managers, drive integration across processes, business, scenarios, data and metrics within project functional areas. Will develop and document an implementation strategy for targeted environment, including establishing policies and procedures to implement the project. Participate in a variety of communication activities from idea generation to delivery.
