Supplier Quality Engineer-Technology:Computers and Displays
CITY: Waukesha STATE: Wisconsin COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Position will be a Supplier Quality Engineer for assigned Technology: Computers and Displays suppliers, driving exceptional product quality for the patient, Customer value beyond expectations, and optimized Cost of Quality for GEHC. This is a key technical and leadership position, affecting part quality for both installed base and NPI parts.
Own and drive supplied part quality for assigned suppliers:
*Improve quality performance via Quality Plan implementation.
*Drive world-class supplier selection through robust qualification processes.
*Utilize the Global quality toolset and manufacturing experience to accelerate improvements in Supplier Quality and deliver game-changing value to GEHC.
Build positive relationships and work closely with:
*Global Sourcing Leaders and Modality Sourcing Leaders to manage and implement supplier/engineering changes, New Product Introductions, and transfers.
*Suppliers, Engineering, Service, Manufacturing and Sourcing to drive Quality improvements which minimize the Costs of Quality.
Deliver results as measured by key metrics:
*MFG yield, field cost, field defect rate, supplier quality plan engagement / effectiveness, and corrective & preventative action closure.
*Drive improvements utilizing Supplier Scorecards.
*Own Supplier audit and improvement plans.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelors Degree in engineering or equivalent.
* Minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing, design, or quality.
* Working knowledge of fabrication & machining manufacturing processes and inspection methods.
* Strong team player with high levels of integrity, energy and enthusiasm.
* Effective problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to execute.
* Willing to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 25% of time.
Desired:
* Black Belt certified
* ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
* Demonstrated ability to drive process change within Manufacturing /Engineering.
* Ability to work cross-functionally and with all levels of the organization. Able to interface effectively with Supplier executives and drive change within the GEHC team.
* Strong analytical skills, experience using statistical tools.
