Six Sigma Black Belt: Logistics and Distribution

OVERVIEW:


Federated Logistics and Operations a division of Federated Department Stores, Inc. (Macy's and Bloomingdales) has a great opportunity for a Six Sigma Black Belt. Responsible for managing Six Sigma process improvement projects for our Mission Road, CA Small Ticket Distribution Center. Projects will vary in scope from ''fast track'' 1 - 2 week projects to full DMAIC or DMADV projects completed in 4 - 6 months.


Key Accountabilities

Review and clarify the project rationale with Champion.
Develop and update the project charter and implementation plan.
Select or help to select project team members (green belts).
Identify and seek resources and information.
Define and help other in the use of appropriate Six Sigma tools.
Support ongoing Fast Track projects within facility.
Lead the analysis/measurement of the current process and proposals.
Maintain the project schedule and keep progress moving toward final solutions.
Support the transfer of new solutions or processes to ongoing operations, while working with process owner.
Document final results as "best practices" to be introduced network wide.
Will be asked to do presentations on project to senior management.
Any other responsibilities management deems essential.
