Production Planner

Summary  
Scheduling work centers, capacity and priority planning and re-planning.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Supply detailed production schedules within each work center based on order due dates.

 

Makes adjustments for over or under capacity issues within each work center.

 

Determine if order quantities are enough to meet order demand and be cost effective.

 

Reschedule the manufacturing order due dates and notify customer service.

 

Perform a manual capacity check to ensure that capacity is available prior to releasing a order.

 

Release or open manufacturing orders when indicated by the system.

 



 

Education and/or Experience

AA Degree, APICS CPIM certification or equivalent. At least 3 years related experience in a manufacturing operations environment;  Planning and master scheduling, production  control, and knowledge of continuous improvement
