We are looking for a dynamic individual in our “Brand New” Patterson, CA Distribution Center to fill our Operations Manager position.  This key position reports to the Director of Distribution in the building and is responsible for ensuring that our retail stores receive product in a timely manner.  If you have experience in flow through distribution in an automated distribution center (preferably retail), please apply on-line.

 

 

Directly accountable for providing service to retail stores by coordinating the processing of merchandise from the vendor, through the Distribution Center, to the retail stores.  Contributes to the profitability of the Company by maximizing the efficiency of the Distribution Center operations.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

· Assures efficient and timely processing of merchandise and anticipates and plans accordingly.

· Manages workflow of the Distribution Center operation to meet planned units per hour, cost per unit, level of service and accuracy standards.

· Works with other departments and divisions to resolve problems and ensure efficient service.

· Maintains safety, housekeeping, and maintenance standards.

· Trains, develops, and evaluates executives and associates.

· Maintains effective communication to ensure productivity, morale and performance of executives and associates.

· Administers policies and procedures.

· Develops and administers short and long term operating budgets in conjunction with other distribution and corporate division staff.

· Effectively manages payroll and expenses.

· Develops and maintains accuracy standards to ensure unit inventory integrity.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

· Multiple years of related experience including direct supervision experience in Distribution, Production/Operations Management, Warehouse Management or related field.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Working knowledge of Radio Frequency and automated distribution/warehouse management systems, Windows, Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.

· Flexibility in hours to support multi-shift operation.

· Regular attendance is key to performing the job.
