Materials Analyst

Description: This position offers a chance to join a growing, progressive division of a profitable Fortune 500 company as a member of the Supply Chain Management team.

 

This individual will report directly to the division’s Supply Chain Engineer.  In addition, this individual will be expected to work closely with Materials Analysts and Assistants both locally and at the CMC Impact Metal’s corporate office and other locations.

 

Major Responsibilities:

 

This individual will be responsible specifically for conducting quarterly cycle counts at each mill / warehousing facility in his/her designated region as well as Physical Inventories on a Bi-quarterly basis.  Cycle count and Physical Inventory procedures must be followed with 100% on time completion and compliance to procedure defined Inventory Reconciliation activities.  This individual will be responsible for reconciling inventory discrepancies and creating and implementing corrective action and continuous improvement activities.  In addition, this individual will be expected to participate in any activities related to Inventory Control and Supply Chain management including but not limited to continuous education, certification, and travel.

 

Education/Experience:

·  Minimum of 2 years experience with inventory control, cycle counting

·  Bachelor’s degree in related field

·  Additional on the job training will be provided

 

Skills:

·  Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

·  Knowledge of ERP, MRP systems and related application tools

·  Ability to pay strong attention to detail

·  Ability to work as a team member

·  Problem solving and Continuous Improvement skills

·  Ability to organize data

·  Ability to multi-task

·  Must be self motivator

·  Ability to analyze raw data

·  Analytical skills a must
