Principal Duties and Essential Job Functions:
The candidate will provide technical, engineering, and integration support to the Ballistic Missile Defense System Manager (BMDSM) office as a senior logistics manager. In addition to the BMDSM, the candidate will also provide assistance/coordination to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the Groundbased Midcourse Defense TRADOC Capabilities Manager (GMD TCM). The candidate will coordinate logistics issues across the user community, the material developers, and other MDA/GMD TCM stakeholders. The candidate will also ensure that user logistics requirements are integrated in all phases of the spiral acquisition process. The candidate will be expected to participate in pertinent GMD logistics related integrated product teams (IPTs) and other working groups meetings at MDA, and provide appropriate feedback to the GMD TCM from meetings and conferences to ensure key issues and action items are addressed. The candidate can expect to focus on BMDS logistics issues, resolve open logistics action actions from various forums, and exchange pertinent information within the BMDS community. The candidate will also develop and refine the GMD performance-based logistics (PBL) Strategy and PBL Implementation Plan. This will include the development of a plan of action and milestones, and a list of facilities to have sustainment functions transferred from the Prime to host installations. Some travel, including overseas, may be required.

Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent combination of education and experience). -Active SECRET clearance (or eligible for immediate re-instatement). -Nine or more years of DoD-related missile operations and logistics experience. -Five or more years of leadership/supervisory experience. -Experience working with logistics-related engineering, supply, or maintenance issues. -Experience with Integrated Logistics Support, Logistics Support Analysis, and/or, Reliability-Centered Maintenance. Preferred qualifications: -Top Secret clearance (or eligible for immediate re-instatement). -Designation as a Joint Specialty Officer. -Familiarity with foreign ballistic missile systems. -Experience with logistics support for US ballistic missile or ballistic missile defense systems. -Defense Acquisition Workforce certified in Life Cycle Logistics.
