Position Title: Transportation Broker Intern
Location: This position is located in Green Bay, WI

1. Secure third party capacity for all loads originating in your assigned market
2. Rate negotiation on a daily basis.
3. Responsible for a group of carriers. Will need to understand their freight needs, desired flows as well as managing the service they supply to Schneider Brokerage
4. Network with Customer Service to aid in Brokerage load acceptance.
5. Develop a long term plan to enhance third party capacity performance through the use of Continuous Improvement Methods.
6. Monitor daily progress of our third party carriers. Obtain timely updates from the carriers to ensure we have our loads in the proper status.
7. Obtain billing information from third party capacity to ensure we properly bill our customers.
8. Monitor and update third party insurance requirements

Qualifications:

Education and Skill Requirements:
·Two years of undergraduate study at a University or 1 year of specialized training at a Technical College.
·Must be willing to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during the school year, (working time will be flexibly fixed around class schedule each semester).
·Academic concentration/interest in General Business, Operations Management, or Logistics.
·Sound judgement, initiative and professional communication skills.
·Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
