District Manager (New Berlin)

Hagemeyer North America is accepting resumes for a District Manager for our Wisconsin market.  The DM will manage the sale of products and services in the Wisconsin geographic area through assigned sales associates. The DM will support the sales activities of the organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

 

RESPONSIBILITIESMeet district customer needs through appropriate product mix.Develop sales plans to penetrate assigned markets.  Coordinate district lead generation with marketingMonitor and ensure proper follow up of new accountsEnsure proper product offeringManage and approve district pricing Oversee national and non-national contract compliance within the districtManage district customer relationshipsSupport billing and collections as requiredOversee contract renewal for assigned accounts in the districtManage customer expectations and requirementsEnsure appropriate technical skills availability to serve customers within the districtEnsure effective sales relationship training for Customer Service Manager and telemarketing staffReview and provide input on inventory levels, capital expenditures and return on assetsManage district sales expense budgetsDevelop district pricing guidelines consistent with market opportunitiesEnsure effective communication of pricing guidelinesOversee pricing strategy for customers in the districtDevelop profitable services in the districtDevelop appropriate pricing for servicesEnsure proper resources availability and training to serve customers in the districtOversee service contracts in the districtIdentify high potential talent, determine training needs and allocate resources appropriately.Develop/establish motivating work environmentEnsure successful regional planningReinforce corporate cultureReward high performance through established incentive programForecast and develop district budgets.Monitor actual district performanceProvide monthly/quarterly performance reportsReview district staff performance reports

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises 5 to 15 associates in the district sales/operations function. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSStrong Industrial market knowledge within the Wisconsin areaStrong leadership skills with experience leading an outside sales teamExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDistribution and Industrial MRO industry experience highly desired3 – 5 plus years experience in sales management capacityBachelor Degree highly desired
