Coord Materials Mgmt Supply

Overview : The primary purpose of this position is to control the inventory, procurement, receipt, distribution, and charging of medical supplies, and other materials that are controlled through the department. Updates MMIS system files and ensures compliance. Service Excellence and Banner Health Values are exhibited in all aspects of this job at all times by consistently modeling the BHA Service and Behavior Standards to all customers and contacts.

Responsibilities :

Conducts inventory control and generates purchase requisitions to procure supplies in accordance with established BHA policies. Communicates with Systems Materials Management and vendors to expedite/trace orders and establish vendor minimums. Collaborates with Systems Materials Management and vendors on delivery dates and to resolve pricing discrepancies.

Qualifications :

Prefers two years previous experience in computerized inventory control, with emphasis on medical supplies preferred. Prefers experience in medical supply acquisition and receiving procedures. Working knowledge of MMIS system needed. Effective organizational, communication and human relations skills are also necessary as the incumbent will be coordinating several projects simultaneously and working closely with department managers and all levels of staff. The ability to research and compile statistical reports is also essential. Requires ability to perform mathematical calculations. Computer experience with database management skills is required.
