Virginia Based Minor League Baseball Franchise - Outside Ticket Sales Executive

is assisting a Minor League Sports Franchise in Virginia as they are looking to hire a sales professional to fill the role of Outside Ticket Sales Executive. Primary duties are listed below but the right candidate will have an incredible opportunity to assist in the opening of a brand new ballpark!

 

Responsibilities: Responsible for the sale of full season tickets, partial ticket plans and group tickets. Responsible for utilizing modern marketing plans and techniques to lead the team to their sales goals. This position will play an instrumental role in moving in to a new stadium for the 2008 season.

 

Sales Duties:
Prospect and assess local and national companies for the various ticket packages
Individual’s main sales focus is within a 10 – mile radius of the stadium
Develop and implement progressive strategies to sell tickets
Follow customer service guidelines to ensure proper follow up of all ticket packages sold
Invite prospective clients to the stadium and use our home games as a tool for selling

 

Operations and Game Day Duties:
Meet and greet ticket plan holders and group leaders during all home games and provide excellent customer service to group participants during games
Direct any on-field presentations/activities that are attributable to the ticket sales operation
Tarp pulling may be required

 

Advertising Sales:
Individual is encouraged to take advantage of all sales opportunities as they come along
These opportunities include items such as stadium signage, theme nights, program ads, etc.

 

Skills & Qualifications:
Successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of proven sales experience
Individual must be creative and willing to work in a team environment, and must have strong planning, organizational, and record-keeping skills
Individual must have a desire to interact with fans of all ages both at the stadium and in the community
Candidate should be familiar with personal computers operating in the Windows environment, preferably with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook

 

Compensation:
Base salary plus an aggressive incentive based commission on tickets that have been directly solicited and sold
The compensation package will be commensurate with the level of experience
Individual will receive an automobile allowance, plus receive health insurance with the company plan
