Health Promotion Manager


Wal-Mart, Headquarters, is looking for an outgoing, creative and strategic minded health professional to help the world's largest company and their employees enjoy best-in-class health and well-being.


The ideal candidate understands corporate health/fitness issues and has the ability to program for large populations in multiple, remote site locations. Major responsibilities include the design, implementation, and tracking of company wide health promotion programs that educate and encourage participation in healthy lifestyle practices; design and deliver health/wellness presentations to various work groups and executives including quarterly virtual broadcasts. A strong understanding of strategic planning, change behavior theory, motivational techniques, and working with diverse populations is necessary. The applicant should have the ability to be flexible in dealing with the dynamic of a challenging corporate environment where time lines, projects and policies are constantly evolving. This position reports to the Director of Health & Wellness, and works cross functionally with the team's dietitian/nutritionist, benefits and exercise specialists, and marketing team members.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelors of Science in Health Education, Wellness, Exercise Physiology, Nutrition or related field. Masters preferred plus 5 years experience, ideally with some corporate background. Health/Wellness/Fitness Facility management experience a plus. Certifications preferred: CHES, Personal Training, Group Fitness, etc. This position will be based at the corporate Health/Wellness/Tennis Center in Northwest Arkansas which serves a campus over 15,000 employees and their family members and will provide outreach programming for 1.3 million employees based at over 4,000 stores, clubs and distribution centers nationwide. Some overnight corporate travel is required (10% or less).
