Dallas / Fort Worth Sports Radio Station - Local Sales Manager

is assisting a sports radio station in the Dallas / Fort Worth area which is looking to hire a Local Sales Manager. Do you desire to enter the world of sports? This position will put you right in the middle of the Dallas sports world. If you are ready for that, we want to hear from you.

 

Responsibilities:
Recruiting and hiring account executives
Maintaining a full staff
Setting and achieving local sales budgets for the station
Managing receivables
Interaction with local sports franchises
Managing combo and group sales projects
Creating appropriate sales and research material for both the local and national sales staff

 

Qualifications:
Prior management and sports sales experience is a plus
Advance strategic planning
Ability to motivate, coach and train a sales team is a must
College degree or equivalent
Experience or senior level AE
Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
Highly organized with attention to detail
Strong negotiation skills
Ability to manage, coach, train and motivate people
Budget/goal oriented
Excellent written and oral presentation skills required
Ability to manage relationships, increase market share, multi-task, be self-motivated, strong training skills and leadership ability.
Strong knowledge of Sports-talk format a plus.
