Assistant General Manager - Colorado Based Professional Sports Franchise

is assisting a Colorado based professional sports franchise hire an Assistant General Manager to take a leadership role in the front office. This position is a rare opportunity for the right candidate with varied professional sports experience to achieve a highly visible and responsible role with a professional sports franchise.

 

Responsibilities:
Sales, service, invoicing, collection of receivables, printing and mailing of tickets
Reports to ownership and management
Supervise sponsorship sales staff and service
Sales process, contract execution, service
Reports to ownership and management
Supervise the Media and Community Relations areas
Oversee and proof any releases
Active in Chambers
Serve as the secondary league contact
Serve as the back up to the general manager for league reporting
Serve as the secondary venue contact
Work with the venue to prepare for events and games
Utilize resources offered by the venue to its fullest
Communicate game day or events needs and follow through to insure all needs are met
Oversee the retail store operations
Merchandise sales, deposits and re-orders
Oversee intern program
Interns for tickets, sponsorships, retail and media relations
Coordinate needs of team operations with Ownership and General Manager
Work closely with coaching staff to insure their needs are addressed with ownership
Coordinate with the Ownership, General Manager and Venue on game presentation

 

Qualifications:
At least three years experience in professional sports in a supervisory capacity in at least two of the following departments:

oTicketing
oSponsorship sales and service
oGame Operations
oMedia Relations
Microsoft Software
Professional in demeanor and skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Well organized and 100% follow through
 “Team first” mindset and the ability to work long hours and ability to multi-task
Self disciplined, motivated and effective managing own and staff’s time
Game Operations Experience
Game Script development experience
