Account Executive - Georgia Based Professional Sports Franchise
is assisting a Professional Sports Franchise in Georgia who is looking to hire an Account Executive to join the front office of this esteemed franchise. An Account Executive is responsible for the revenues produced by season and group tickets. The Account Executive is to maintain and renew existing season and group ticket accounts. The Account Executive also must sell new season seat accounts through outside sales appointments with corporate decision makers, and sell new groups to non-profit organizations and businesses, primarily by phone.
Description: Reports to: Ticket Sales Manager
Responsibilities:
Provide Customer Service to existing season seat accounts by visiting with the accounts during the game, providing business program amenities, and making phone calls during the season and off-season to ensure personalized, continual contact.
Renew Season Seat Accounts that are assigned, with efforts being made for a renewal rate close to 90%; most renewals are made over the phone.
Renew Group Accounts through phone follow up after a direct mail piece or group catalog is sent.
Set Appointments over the phone with CEOs and Presidents, or other company decision-makers. 15 appointments per week is goal.
Deliver the Season Seat Pitch taught in Sales Training on appointments with company decision-makers, tailor a package according to the company’s needs, and handle objections in efforts to bring in new season seat accounts.
Contact group leaders through the database and through new leads, particularly after a direct mail piece is sent, to bring in new group sales.
Maintain Database and add new database leads.
Prospect for quality leads, particularly through asking for referrals.
Visit with accounts and assist with customer service during home games.
Qualifications:
The ability to communicate is essential
Candidate must possess drive, determination, and a very strong work ethic
Candidate must be willing to listen and learn
The ability to work long hours, including weekends, is preferred
Experience:
Previous internship in collegiate or professional sports is a plus but not required
Previous sales experience is a plus but not required
Computer skill and knowledge in Excel is a plus
General writing skills is a plus
