Sr. Lab Technician

Our Tempe, AZ location has an immediate opening for a Sr. Lab Technician.

 

This position provides product and process analysis respective of customer and engineering specifications.  Analysis includes product cross-section, chemical analysis of plating baths, and other duties supporting quality assurance. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Additional duties or responsibilities may be assigned to this position on an as required basis beyond the tasks noted below.

 

· Collect and/or review various chemical samples required to ensure process quality.  Analysis is to be performed immediately to ensure timely response to product or process concerns, especially in support of production pre-flight or first article requirements.

· Dump and make up chemical baths as required

· Make and analyze cross sections for plating requirements. Fill out cross section reports as required.

· Participate in the implementation of SPC for various processes throughout the factory.  Where applicable, report all out of control conditions.

· Report all analytical results using lab wizard software

· Identify trends of analysis per chemical

· Coordinate external analysis efforts

· Identify additional tool or process requirements as part of new processes, new product, or capital planning process

·  Provide production processing support

· Support the ISO implementation by writing or reviewing specifications

 Qualifications:

· This individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily relative to job knowledge, skills, and/or ability required to support the above noted tasks

· Education and/or Experience should include a Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four year college or institute in chemistry
