POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

QUALITY CONTROL CHEMIST

Summary:

Spectrum is currently looking for a Quality Control Chemist.  The position will entail conducting research analysis, synthesis and experimentation on substance for such purposes as product and process development and application, quantitative and qualitative analysis and improvement of analytical methodologies by performing the following duties.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·  Devise new equipment and develop formulas, processes and methods for solution of technical problems.

·  Analyze organic and inorganic compounds to determine chemical and physical properties.

·  Conduct research on manufactured products to develop and improve products.

·  Prepare technical papers and reports.

·  Prepare standards and specification for processes, facilities, products and tests.

 

Qualifications: 

·  Must have a BS in chemistry or related field.

·  2-5 years experience

·  Experience in Wet Analysis, AA, GC and FTIR.
