Organic Chemist

Basic Laboratory, Inc.,  is seeking a qualified analyst to fill a position in our organic chemistry department. The candidate must have a BS degree in chemistry or a related field, and have at least two years of experience performing analysis using EPA methods 8270/624, 8081, 8082, or 8015. 5 years of experience with no degree may also be acceptable. The primary responsibility of the analyst will be to perform extraction and analysis of environmental samples for pesticides and PCBs using EPA methods 8081 and 8082. Depending on prior experience, the candidate may alternatively be assigned to either 8270 or 8015 analysis. Salary will be $15 - $20 per hour based on experience. The position will be full time Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm, although occasionally an alternate schedule may be necessary based on workload. Full time employees receive health insurance, 401(k) two weeks of paid vacation, one week of paid sick leave, and nine paid holidays per year.
