Laboratory Technician

Triumph Thermal Processing, a Triumph Group company currently has an immediate 1st shift position available for Aerospace Lab Tech.

Seeking sharp candidates with a desire to perform in a critical lab environment that values intelligence, recognizes talent and rewards initiative.

You must have a desire to learn, a professional commitment, a keen sense of curiousty and a desire to grow with the lab.

Candidates with experience in metallurgy or SEM/EDS techniques will be considered first.

WORKING PROCEDURES
-Sectioning, mounting, polishing and preevaluating metallurgical samples.
-Perform process control analysis for coating, plating, heat treat, brazing, and others as required.
-Reveiw against specification and accept or reject material and process certifications.
-Perofrm chemical analyses per written procedures on plating and stripping solutions, powders, metals, and other materials for production and development.
-Maintain records of lab test results.
-Participate in "continuous improvement" activities/efforts.
-Requires familiarity with metallurgical or chemical laboratory environment. Direct work experience or applicable technology degree preferred, but not required.
-Must possess the knowledge and communication skills necessary for performing interdepartmental contact and supplier contact.
-Must be capable of reading andinterpreting specifications, blueprints and procedures.
-Must be able to communicate through written instructions and correspondence, including basic lab reports.
-Must be computer literate for documenting results and creating lab reports.
-Statistical Process Control knowledge helpful.
