Assoc Dir, Development

Duties: Assist in the development and transferof new diagnostic based technologies and processes covering but not restricted to peptide, recombinant antigens, cell based extracts and process improvements for Chiron's Diagnostic business. Responsibilities include: ensuring that the new processes and proces simprovement projects are executed. Responsible for the completion of all required documentation, interpretation/analysis/presentation of data and communication of changes to departments. Frequently, an Associate Director will coordinate personnel and supervise hands-on laboratory and pilot scale runs as well as assisting in cGMP and Validation runs of processes. Strategize any assigned process run with QC, QA, Fermentation, Purification, Bulk Fill, Systems Integration, Validation, Regulatory Affairs, Research and Development and other Chiron Business Units/Facilities as needed while working in a cGMP and ISO environment as well as within the Chiron Diagnostic V&D internal policies and directives.
