Account Manager in Training
Account Managers in Training (AMITs) in Ecolab's Food and Beverage division have the opportunity to work closely with experienced Ecolab associates to learn our business in order to take on a territory of their own as an Account Manager in 6-12 months. In this role, AMITs build the knowledge and skills needed to provide cleaning and sanitation solutions to food, beverage, and dairy manufacturing environments through a dual focus on sales and service to new and existing customers.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with Ecolab associates to learn the food, beverage and dairy industry, and the critical sales and service skills required for success in this role.
Build a solid understanding of Ecolab products, plant operations, customer business objectives, and applicable regulations in order to partner with customers to identify and implement solutions that advance plant efficiency and effectiveness.
Communicate effectively with all levels of plant staff; build strong business relationships and networks.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations on Ecolab's innovative products, equipment and services.
Provide industry expertise to customers in terms of sanitation, safety, quality and operations, including assisting with sanitation plans and programs, standard operating procedures, and employee training.
Manage Ecolab products and equipment; participate in equipment installations, observe and test equipment and product performance, repair or adjust equipment, adjust chemical concentration levels, monitor product inventory and place orders.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
BS/BA degree in dairy, food or agricultural science, engineering, chemistry, biology or related field
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Desire to succeed in a competitive environment
Ability to take initiative and work independently
Strong follow-through and organizational skills
General mechanical ability
Willingness and ability to work various hours
May require relocation to GA, AL, MS, or within TN after 6-12 month training
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Willingness and ability to travel by car throughout a geographic territory, including periodic overnight travel
Previous experience in food, beverage or dairy processing/manufacturing industries preferred
Previous experience sales and/or customer service preferred
