This position is based out of Bellevue, Washington - and requires travel up to 75% of the time in the terrritory.
Join a fast paced, exciting and challenging public sector sales team as an Imaging and Printing Group (IPG) Presales Consultant
In this job you will:
Create a buying preference for HP's IPG products with technical influencers and decision makers.
Assume a technical leadership role with aligned Sales Specialist for all IPG solution and services opportunities in a given territory.
Maintain a level of knowledge to be considered a trusted advisor in the field of laser and inkjet printing, scanning, color printing, digital photography, muti-function technology and network printing.
Build value-based relationships with customers.
Speak knowledgeably about HP's competitors (Lexmark, Xerox, Canon, Ricoh, Epson) and position HP to win from a technical and total cost of ownership (TCO) perspective.
Work closely with HP's factory and partners to maintain the highest levels of technical expertise.
Consult with HP's customers on a wide range of IPG solutions such as Workflow Management, Utility Printing, Services, Mainframe Printing and Clustered Printing.
Utilize your knowledge of HP's position in the marketplace and our competitive differentiators to help your team close sales and increase revenue.
your profile
Bachelors degree in computer science (computing and information sytems) or business information systems with a 6+ years experience in information technology and technical field sales. Or a Masters degree with a similar specalization of 4+ years experience in information technology and technical field sales. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Sound knowledge of IT sales
Self-motivated approach with the will to win
Strong presentation, sales, negotiation and influencing skills
Excellent understanding of information technology industry trends.
Experience in technical or sales function
Broad technology knowledge (UNIX, NT, Networking, Hardware)
