Description: Direct Account Executive II (Birmingham/North Alabama)

This position will report out of the Pelham Sales Office(Birmingham). The sales territory will include the following counties: Calhoun, Etowah, Talladega, Tallapoosa, Chambers, Randolph, and Clay.

SouthernLINC Wireless is the wireless communication service from Southern Company which combines multiple communication services into one handset or installed device, including Instant LINC two-way radio, phone service, numeric and text messaging, and wireless data and Internet access. SouthernLINC Wireless operates in the Southeast and targets businesses, government and Southern Company subsidiaries.

The Direct Sales Executive is responsible for selling to and supporting existing and new customers in their market area with mobile services. This position will work in a defined market area and will be responsible for monthly sales quota, and customer retention. Target market includes government and business customers.

Job Experience and Education

College Degree preferred Minimum 1 year sales experience in the fields of technology or telecommunications industry, including radio, SMR, cellular, computers, copiers, facsimiles, long distance or system hardware sales.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
The successful candidate must have a desire to sell a high tech mobile service in a business to business environment, having a positive attitude and enthusiasm. The successful candidate must possess a strong understanding of the cellular, two-way and/or paging industry with a strong focus on direct sales to business customers. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication and listening skills. Must be aggressive, persistent and goal oriented. Sales and telecommunications industry experience helpful, but not essential.
