Dealer Development Manager

Dealer Development Manager –(DDM)

 

TCI Tire Centers, a nationally recognized small tire distribution leader, is coming to the following cities: Houston, New York City, Charlotte, Atlanta, Birmingham, Jacksonville. We are actively seeking a Dealer Development Manager for these new facilities.

 

The Dealer Development Manager (DDM) position is the key Dealer Relationship Management position in the Tire Centers, LLC “T3 Dealer” Program.  The DDM is the conduit through which T3 provides programs and service to its Dealers, funnels information regarding programs and opportunities to/from it Dealers, and helps to develop its Dealers’ overall business. The DDM’s development of each Dealer partner’s business results in increased sales/ profitability for TCI; as measured by “comparable” tire unit sales, improvement in Dealer satisfaction scores, and minimal Dealer attrition.

 

Specific areas of responsibility include (but not limited to):

 

A. Advertising and Marketing:

  1. Media Planning – Council Dealers in cost-effective use of available media to drive tire unit and auto service sales; prepare annual Dealer Ad Planner.

  2. Creative Planning – Council Dealers in development of effective creative that will drive tire unit sales, develop the brand, and meet all co-op guidelines.

  3. Co-op Fund Usage – Council Dealers in most effective use of co-op funds, verify that all advertising meets co-op guidelines, and manage the accrual, investment, claiming, and passing of credit for said co-op funds.

  4. Promotion Planning – Council Dealers on the use, effective implementation, and advertising of T3 and MAST brand promotions.

  5. Showroom Installation and Maintenance – Manage the installation, as well as the ongoing maintenance of the T3 Showroom elements for each Dealer.

 

B. T3 Program Implementation and Training:

  1. Program Presentation – Provide each T3 Dealer the information required to fully understand the features and benefits of each T3 program element, and the opportunity to use said program elements in their business.

  2. Program Implementation- Assist each Dealer in the installation, training, and ongoing support as required for each program selected.

  3. Dealer Training Programs – Council Dealers in the use of personal or employee training programs (T3, MSTC, Training Solutions, etc.) that will develop sales, improve operations, or improve customer service.  Manage the scheduling of said training and provide on-site sales and product training as required.

 

C. Dealer Relationship Management:

  1. Dealer Development – Provide on-site representation to effectively communicate programs, issues, and opportunities to each Dealer.

  2. Issue Resolution – Provide issue resolution assistance for Dealers to/from TCI DC or Corporate Office, various program providers and/or media representatives.

  3. Dealer Satisfaction – Provide services as required to drive Dealer satisfaction with the T3 Program and thereby reducing opportunity for competitive intrusion.

 

D. New Dealer Development:

  1. Prospect Identification – Research assigned trading area to identify potential new Dealer partners that meet established T3 and MAST Alliance Dealer guidelines.

  2. Prospect Presentation- Coordinate the approval for presentation and the actual presentation of the T3 Program to potential Dealer partners.  Work with Regional Director and DC Manager to present program and “sell” program.

  3. New Dealer Installation – Coordinate the installation of T3 Dealer Showroom as required, the initialization of all program elements selected by Dealer, and the training of the Dealer and Dealer associates as required.

 

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelors or a combination of education and experience with minimum 3 years marketing or development experience in the tire or related industry. Wholesale and/or Retail Tire knowledge is a plus.  In addition, you must also be knowledgeable of MS Office, possess solid verbal and written communication abilities, and be customer service driven.
