POSITION PURPOSE:
Organize, develop, and assort the correct line assortment for Wholesale, as well as targeted product offerings for strategic customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Form business partnership with Design and Product Development to successfully collaborate on offerings.
· Participate in the assembly of the wholesale collection offering in partnership with Line Planning and Design to ensure precise wholesale point of view. Participate in forecasting activities in conjunction with Line Planning.
· Participate in concept week design presentations to view the seasonal corporate design message.
· Maximize the wholesale assortment by identifying and seeking our opportunities to positively affect the company objectives while maintaining the integrity of the brand, as well as the creativity and inspiration of design.
· Responsible for seasonal presentations to key customers.
· Act as primary liaison with strategic customers on product related issues (e.g., color/assortment issues, delivery flow discussions, key item negotiation, post-presentation follow-up).
· Responsible for analysis and interpretation of competitive market trend information and customer feedback, with respect to financial condition, marketing and product strategy.
· Responsible for analysis and interpretation of sales reports.
· Identify in-season opportunities and categories of product that maximize sales with minimal risk.
· Analyze historical data, past trends, product assortment, and competition, and communicate an assortment strategy.
· Manage and maintain accurate CAD boards to reflect wholesale assortments and classifications.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
● Present line to accounts as needed.
● Additional duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
· BS/BA degree in business/fashion merchandising/design preferred.
· 5 - 7 years sales/merchandising experience in childrens/multi-product environment.
· Superior communication, presentation, negotiation, organizational skills.
· Ability to establish and maintain multiple priorities.
· Ability to develop and function in a team environment.
· Ability to balance both sales and design perspective.
· Confidence and poise to interact with and present to account management, corporate management, sales force, merchant team and design team.
· Possess initiative and the ability to work independently.
· Make focused decisions based on brand integrity and company values.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Domestic travel required
