  Because of the great demand and popularity of our products, we are in need of additional Loss Prevention Agents in Greendale, WI help us monitor both our consumers and our own employees. This is a great opportunity for honest and motivated loss prevention and law enforcement personnel to join our fast-growing movement across the country.

 

Loss Prevention Agents are responsible for protecting all of Steve and Barry’s assets (including the associates) through awareness, communication, deterrence, prevention, and apprehension.  Loss Prevention Agents are responsible for making safe apprehensions and conducting safe preventions so as to reduce the extent of losses due to external theft.  Loss Prevention Agents will also work closely with store management to increase associate loss prevention awareness, as well as to ensure that operational standards are met and maintained as established by Company policy. Therefore, responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

ª Report on daily activities (verbal and written)

ª Reduction of External Exposures and Losses

² Apprehension of shoplifters and recovery of Company assets, as set forth in Company apprehension guidelines.

² Playing a case on the floor (Limited CCTV assets)

² Prevention of shoplifting incidents and recovery of Company assets as set forth in Company prevention guidelines.

² Audit compliance of external loss prevention standards.

² Identify external exposures and recommend solutions.

ª Report all observed or suspected exposures pertaining to internal theft.

ª Training and Awareness

² Serve as a member of “The Shrinkage Committee”

² Participate in the promotion of shrinkage awareness of all associates.

² Create an environment of “ownership” among all associates.

ª Operations and Safety

² Complete reports and assigned duties in a timely manner.

² Assist management to maintain operational compliance.

² Ensure a safe working and shopping environment.

² Report all violations of operational standards to store management and immediate supervisor.

 

The following qualifications are required for this position:

 

ª High school graduate or equivalent.

ª 2 years of retail loss prevention or law enforcement experience required.

ª State certification required, where applicable.

ª Must be able to stand and walk sales floor for a minimum 8 hours at a time.

ª Must be able to regularly lift and carry a minimum of 25 lbs.

ª Must be available to work nights, weekends and rotating shifts.

ª Must be able to follow directions and be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
