Food Service Director Senior Living Group

Senior Living Group is looking for a key player to join their team in Mobile, Alabama. We are seeking an experienced Food Service Director to manage the entire food service department. Your day to day responsibilities will include: training kitchen staff in cooking/presentation/santitation, training dining room staff to uphold service standards, menu planning, inventory, food and supply ordering, managing food and labor budgets, and putting on first class events for our residents, their families, potential residents, and professional referral sources.

Ideal candidate will have:

* 3-5 years managing food service department in hospitality, assisted living or long term care industry;

*** MUST be an excellent cook*** (formal culinary training or degree preferred);

* Background in training and mentoring staff;

* Demonstrated proficiency with budget management;

* Knowledge of local and state health and sanitation and safety codes;

* Knowledge of food handling, preparation, service and operation of all kitchen equipment;

* Experience planning menus, special diets and ordering all food and supplies;

* Basic computer skills.
