Product Metrics Analysis

:: Description:
You will be working within the Products & Technology (R&D) organization to provide visibility into product performance with the end goal of improving business management operations

:: Responsibilities:

* Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Salesforce.com feature set and product strategy
* Understand the relationship between product and business results, including the ability to translate business goals into key performance indicators and success metrics
* Research, innovate and propose metrics, analyses, tools or process changes to improve business management operations
* Develop, test, validate and maintain recurring metrics dashboards/reports/scorecards
* Develop mechanisms for viewing and using reports and processes for distributing them
* Perform exploratory analysis on product performance, including descriptive customer analytics (segmentation, behavior, etc.) and data mining

:: Required Skills/Experience:

* Minimum 4-7 years experience in metrics reporting or other analytical work
* Excellent analytical and problem structuring and solving skills
* Be comfortable and confident presenting complex analysis results to management
* Ability to apply statistical concepts such as correlation, regression, confidence intervals, etc.
* Experience with relational databases, data warehouse concepts and handling large data sets and analyses
* Proficiency at writing complex, analytical SQL queries
* Ability to tune poorly performing SQL queries
* Proficient at analyzing and presenting data in Excel – charting, pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc.
* Self-starter, able to learn and work independently with minimal supervision
* Flexible, able to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
* Ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
* Education: Bachelors Degree or Equivalent

* Experience programming in Perl, Java and/or PL/SQL
* Experience using statistical software packages
* Experience using Business Objects XI & Crystal Reports XI
* Scientific or Academic background
