SENIOR MATERIAL DEVELOPMENT CHEMIST

Motion Control Industries is seeking a results oriented Senior Development Chemist to be based at its R&D facility located in Charlottesville, VA.

Responsibilities include:

 

·  To perform material development activities relating to drum and disc brake products consistent with the Company’s Strategic and Business Plans.

·  To participate in and lead project teams as required.

·  To develop drum and disc brake formulations which satisfy project requirements.

·  To work with manufacturing to establish satisfactory production processes and to transfer new products into a production environment.

·  To establish and maintain material specifications relating to drum and disc brake products.

·  To identify and specify raw materials for drum and disc brake formulations.

·  To interface with suppliers and internal and external customers.

 

Qualifications include:

· Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field.

·  Minimum 5 years friction industry experience.

·  Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
