Research Associate, Protein Verification - 2499

ICOS Corporation, based in the Seattle, Washington area, has spent more than a decade building a world-class research and development organization. Responsibilities

We are looking for an independent, innovative research associate to carry out protein purification and characterization in support of research and development at ICOS. Candidate must be well-organized, able to work efficiently, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment to support multiple groups and projects at once.


Requirements

BS or equivalent in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology or similar field
Strong protein purification skills (affinity / IEX / GFC / HIC chromatography)
Experience with GE Healthcare Äkta instruments / UNICORN software
Protein characterization (SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, IEF, MS, HPLC)
Strong communication skills (both report-writing and presentation)
Additional desirable skills

Molecular biology (PCR, cloning)
Cell culture (microbial, insect, mammalian)
