Market Research Intern

Interpret, LLC (www.interpretllc.com) is a next-generation media and marketing research company focused on the intersection of traditional and new media. Our company takes a holistic view of the media environment, developing strategies for the marketing and distribution of content, testing the effectiveness of ads for that content, and measuring the effectiveness of advertising across media platforms.

With Sony, Warner, Paramount, MTV, MGM, Fox, and other major content providers preparing for the digital content revolution, Interpret will provide consulting and research tools to help provide a roadmap to the future. This trend coincides with technology companies like Microsoft, Intel, and Cisco re-focusing on marketing to consumers, and with advertisers zeroing in on the effectiveness of their advertising across different media platforms (not just reach & frequency or impressions). Like the music revolution started by Napster and the iPod, at Interpret, we believe this consumer-driven revolution is here to stay, and its potential impact is only beginning to take shape.

Intern, Strategy & Analysis

The market research intern is responsible for aiding analysts in the management of projects and completion of operational tasks, including but not limited to quality control of reports, report generation, questionnaire development, and data analysis. This position reports to the Senior Analyst, Strategy & Analysis.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled or recent graduate of B.A./B.S. program, preferably major in social science field (psychology, anthropology, sociology, etc.) or in math, sciences, engineering
• Passion for media and/or entertainment industry, including movies, DVDs, video games, mobile entertainment, and more. Prior exposure to market research (either job experience or coursework) a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Knowledge of statistical software package (e.g., SPSS, SAS) a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• 3.5 GPA or higher (please include on resume or cover letter)
• Ability to multi-task
• Part-time (minimum 15 hrs./week) or full time

Compensation: $10/hr.
