Director of Product Development

Business Wire, a leader in both traditional news distribution and new media is looking for a Director of Product Development. This is a unique opportunity as the job is a mixture of R&D, technologist, web and search engine expert, product development and marketing.

The successful applicant should be able to forecast future trends as they apply to the web and search engines and help create real world products and services to keep the company ahead of the curve. This position will play a leadership role in the creation process, feasibility, and development of industry leading web site content management systems, including but not limited to direct to consumer marketing, multimedia and search engine optimization projects and will think outside of the box.

To do this job effectively, the candidate will participate in relevant trade shows and conferences, speak on a regular basis to peer leaders and work closely with the marketing, financial information services, new media, licensing and redistribution, technology, global media and web groups at Business Wire.

Position will beheadquartered in SF or NYC only and will report to the Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Strategy.
