Vice President, Regional Operations Center

This position is responsible for the efficient and effective management of a large Regional Operations Center generating significant revenue and business impacts for the Division. Key functions include supporting the production branch system and assigned JV activity in the region; overseeing through subordinates the management of all processing, underwriting, closing and post-closing activities of a Regional Operations Center; and monitoring incoming volume and balance pipelines in order to manage the assignment of production branch and HFN loans to appropriate teams. The successful candidate will be relied on to manage cancellation rates, turn ratio, cost per loan and loans per employee, in addition to ensuring that the center operates in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Fair Lending practices, and all Federal and State regulations (RESPA, Reg. Z, TIL, ECOA, etc.). Other duties will include managing a variety of customer relationships; overseeing the recruiting, hiring, staffing and of training staff; and serving as a resource in supporting the team managers and underwriters on complex issues.

Requirements:
- High school diploma and some college-level education. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 8 years mortgage banking experience including 3+ years in underwriting (with designations).
- 3 years in a management/supervisory role.
- Experience in originating, pre-qualifying, processing and closing first, second and HELOC residential loan applications.
- Basic PC skills, preferably with proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Strong managerial and leadership skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask in busy, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage large numbers of people.
- Ability to manage through others.
