Proactively develops and maintains realtor and other valuable, continuous sources of business relationships within a given market while simultaneously seeking out prospective borrowers and/or responding to borrower inquiries. Participates in business related development and general civic activities to contribute to community effort and promote lending origination. Analyzes various loan requests and is responsible for packaging loans to meet Bank's standards. Maintains consistent and thorough communication with all involved parties (applicant, referral sources, Loan Fulfillment Center, Appraisal, etc.) throughout the loan process. Provides outstanding levels of service by attaining superior product and industry knowledge, maintaining a flexible schedule to accommodate appointments, and handling every transaction with the utmost commitment to professional ethics.
1. Originates acceptable and well-documented residential mortgages and home equity products through contacts with realtors, brokers, builders, and developers. Participates in various business development activities. Contacts potential or existing customers to develop new business or retain existing business.
2. Provides service to customers and prospective customers seeking residential mortgage loans.
a. Interviews applicants to collect information concerning their financial needs, objectives and status. Obtains and analyzes pertinent financial and credit data.
b. Monitors new business to ensure conformity with Bank's standards.
c. Assures all new business is properly documented, accurate and complete to ship to the Loan Fulfillment Center.
d. Responsible for obtaining all pertinent applicant generated information needed to ensure the prompt and efficient processing and funding of all loans.
e. Maintains consistent communication flows throughout loan process, with all involved parties to ensure timely appraisals, credit decisions, funding and to expeditiously resolve all issues and questions.
3. Maintains current, thorough understanding and familiarity with all program/product policies and procedures and continually provides accurate and updated information to all customers and sources of business.
4. Responsible for establishing and maintaining quality referral sources. Shares responsibility for minimizing lending risk by developing a thorough awareness of business practices of referral sources.
5. Responsible for being current on all provided online training.

Two to five years of real estate sales, general sales or mortgage lending background preferred or compensating education, work experience and qualities.
Prefer thorough knowledge of lending regulations, conventional loan requirements and general finance. Ability to read and evaluate credit reports as well as familiarity with mortgage products and process also preferred. Developed communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work independently. Excellent organizational skills.
