Sunrise Medical Inc., a leading manufacturer of wheelchairs, is seeking a Sr. Buyer at our Fresno, California location.

Job Summary:

 

Purchases materials, components and/or services consistent with the specified levels of quality, delivery, price and total cost.  Exercises material analysis, forecasting, inventory management skills, and supply chain strategies. Responsible for lean manufacturing and Kanban implementation.  Accountable for production planning and inventory control.

 

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred.Five (5) years experience in purchasing with at least 2 years in purchasing from overseas suppliers.Receipt of NACM Certification as Purchasing Manager (CPM) or APICS Certification in Production Inventory Management (CPIM) desirable.
