99˘ Only Stores is a $1B, 10,000 NYSE publicly traded company. We sell all items for 99 cents or less including brand name and private label food and beverages, health and beauty aids, household goods, toys and much more. We have over 230 stores located in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Texas.

Our continued growth, including aggressive new store openings, has led to the need for experienced Stationary & Food Buyers, at our Commerce, CA corporate office, to ensure appropriate product mix for our retail stores.

 

Qualified candidate must be enthusiastic, motivated, and upbeat and thrive in a fast paced environment. If you are results driven, career oriented, friendly, and outgoing and can maintain a collaborative approach with vendors this is the opportunity for you.

Job Responsibilities:

Will need to source, evaluate, and negotiate best price for merchandise to maximize sales, profit and inventory turn. Understand financial numbers as it relates to sales, markup, turn and inventory. Will develop business strategies, spot trends, new business opportunities, forecast based on SKU’s. Establish strong vendor relationships.

 

 

·  3 to 5 years retail buying experience

· BS degree preferred

· Proficient in retail math and business analysis

· Excellent negotiation and problem solving skills

· Must be results driven

· Strong work ethic

· Loves to find a great deal
