We are currently seeking a Purchasing Manager who is excited to join our team. 

 

Required Experience

· Minimum of 10 years purchasing experience in manufacturing environment; contract manufacturing and EMS highly-preferred

· 3 years experience in offshore high-tech component sourcing, particularly Asia

· Demonstrated success in

o  Lean, Six Sigma environment

o  Achieving departmental objectives for delivery performance and cost reduction

o  Sourcing, negotiation, PO management (approval, creation, maintenance)

o  Supplier performance management

o  Purchasing process improvement

o  Establishing continuous process improvement environment

o  Team leadership

o  Change management

· Managerial experience

 

Skills and Abilities:

· Knowledge of technology products and understanding market trends on key commodities

· Expertise in materials planning and integration with Purchasing processes

· Chinese language skills desirable

· Ability to develop and maintain effective vendor relationships

· Leadership, coaching, team development and management skills

· Strong negotiation skills: Ability to negotiate favorable terms and conditions for product purchases and returns

· Strong Communication Skills:  Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels. Ability to practice discretion and understand appropriateness of communication and behavior

· Organizational and problem solving skills

· Ability to implement recommendations and see projects through to completion

· Ability to effectively establish and implement procedures

· Ability to professionally conduct meetings and discussions

· Ability to work both independently and as a team member

· Ability to utilize and enhance system tools to achieve departmental objectives

· Knowledge of MRP, DRP, Windows and related applications
