Purchasing Assistant

Fins, Furs and Feathers, Inc., which owns three quickly growing online pet supply e-commerce business, located in Orange County, is currently seeking a Purchasing Assistant with excellent planning and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will need to work effectively in a team and individually, must be highly reliable, and demonstrate a pro-active approach. The candidate must have the ability to work in an organized manner with great attention to detail, under limited supervision, and prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently.

 

Qualified Candidates Should Possess:

-         Experience with distribution environment is a plus

-         Experience with E-commerce environment is a plus

-         Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

-         A good understanding of basic math skills to work with product cost and pricing issues

-         Proficiency in 10-key, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Inventory Management systems

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-         Create and send dropship orders to vendors on a daily basis

-         Work with vendors to ensure that orders are processed in timely manner

-         Communicate with and assist other departments on the coordination of purchasing matters

-         Support on purchasing inventory to provide uninterrupted flow of supplies

-         Work with vendors to minimize backorders
