Purchasing Agent

Home builder and general contractor is looking for a dynamic individual with exceptional negotiating skills, who is profit-driven, highly organized and able to work accurately and independently.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and able to work on a team with exceptional communication skills, computer literate in MS Word and MS Excel, detail oriented, strong negotiation abilities. You need to have 5+ years purchasing experience in the construction industry, College degree preferred.

 

JOB FUNCTION:  Negotiate pricing and blanket purchase agreements. Negotiate house pricing with contractors and vendors. Must possess ability to run software applications including: Excel, Word and Outlook. Five plus years of field experience in Construction

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Exceptional negotiating skills.

Highly organized and able to work accurately and independently.

Must be of unquestionable integrity, possess a drive to succeed and accomplish team challenges in a dynamic, hard working, fast growing business environment.

 

Requirements for Position:

1. Previous construction industry buying experience desirable.

2. Self starter with ability to multi-task.

3. Strong organizational skills.

4. College graduate preferred.
