Purchasing Agent

Overview : Banner Health, Arizona's largest healthcare provider has an opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Agent to support the Materials Mgmt. Dept. This position is located in Chandler, Arizona. If any questions can call 602-495-4755.

Responsibilities :

Responsible for advanced vendor relations and contract negotiations.

Qualifications :

This position requires a Bachelors degree in Business or related field, with seven years purchasing experience or 12 years purchasing experience directly related with capital equipment purchases and contract negotiation, three of which must be in healthcare. Supervisory experience preferred. Must have working knowledge of all types of procurement to include capital equipment, inventory, non-stock supplies, and services. Must possess experience in preparing requires for proposals, bid analysis. and contracting. Must be skilled in areas of planning, directing, communications, negotiations, and statistical analysis. Effective organizational, communication and human relation skills are necessary as the incumbent will be coordinating several projects simultaneously. Advanced interpersonal skills are necessary to interface with internal and external customers at all levels. Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet computer software applications.
