We are currently seeking a Materials Planning Manager who is excited to join our team. 

 

Education:  B.S. degree or equivalent

 

Required Experience

· Minimum of 5 years materials management/materials planning experience in manufacturing environment

· Contract manufacturing and EMS preferred

· Demonstrated success in

o  Achieving departmental objectives for increasing availability, reducing forecast error and increasing inventory turnover

o  Materials planning systems and process improvement

o  Demand management with major customers

o  Lean, Six Sigma environment

o  Establishing environment of continuous improvement

o  Team leadership

o  Change management

· Managerial experience

 

 

Skills and Abilities:

· Expertise in materials planning and integration with Purchasing processes

· Ability to develop and enhance materials planning systems and processes

· Expertise in

o  MRP

o  DRP

o  Forecasting systems

o  Managing inventory parameters

o  Access, Excel, data extracts

· Leadership, coaching, team development and management skills

· Organizational and problem solving skills

· Project management

· Ability to implement recommendations and see projects through to completion

· Ability to effectively establish and implement procedures

· Ability to professionally conduct meetings and discussions

· Strong Communication Skills:  Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels. Ability to practice discretion and understand appropriateness of communication and behavior.

· Ability to work both independently and as a team member

· Ability to utilize and enhance system tools to achieve departmental objectives
