Materials Director

The ideal candidate is a results oriented senior management level individual with materials management and lean manufacturing experience. Responsible for the functions of purchasing, production control, and all materials planning requirements to support a manufacturing facility.  This is an operational level position designed to pull together the logistics-related functions.   Directs acquisition of materials, components, and supplies to support production schedules.  Coordinates transportation and warehousing of incoming and outgoing materials.  Coordinates inventory control and production schedules to optimize costs.  A Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; in a technical discipline, and twelve-plus year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Management and strong leadership and interpersonal skills, along with a proven track record are essential, and completion of CPIM is desired. Knowledge of ERP systems (JD Edwards) preferred.
