Mailroom Clerk

Sort and distribute daily mail. Sort and mail computer generated output to agents and insured’s. Responsible for document storage and or retrieval of policy files as needed for the Claims and Underwriting departments. Accomplish additional tasks as assigned.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 Date stamp, sort and distribute incoming mailBatch new business/ endorsements and cash paymentsPrepare packages for UPS, FEDEX and overnight pouches to the satellite offices Process all computer output that is generated dailyPull and file underwriting/ claim policies from storageMaintain coffee, fax and copier suppliesRun inserting machine and postage machineProcess certified cancellations and delivery to USPO as assignedAssist with forms and supplies inventory

 

Requirements:

 High School DiplomaMinimum of 3+ years experience in mail serviceValid California Drivers LicenseAbility to assimilate new functionsAbility to follow instructionsAbility to lift relatively heavy itemsAbility to bend, lift and stoop without difficultyAbility to maintain regular and predictable attendance/ punctualityAbility to work harmoniously with coworkers and other departmentsFlexible to adjustable work schedule and or overtime if neededGood communication skills (oral and written)Some PC knowledge preferred but not require
